The Visionary
Orville “Opie” Parker III
Orville Parker III, also known as Opie, is a visual artist born and raised in St. Louis, MO, best known for his ability to capture and share culture and moments alike. Beginning with the simple desire to capture life around him as a teenager, he has since gained years of experience in a variety of mediums including photography, videography, design, and marketing. Something deeper began to form. He realized that there was power in media and that there was power in narrative. It was after this realization, Parker realized it was his purpose to help empower others through his gifts. Thus, the formation of Bad Man Studios. This quirky, gifted collection of Black creatives and young professionals who ultimately came together under one common goal: providing quality visual solutions to individuals and brands who desired to take control of their own narrative. Parker’s skills coupled with his passion for expanding the reach of marginalized communities within the arts and media has led him to work with some of the biggest and most impactful organizations and brands in the St. Louis Metropolitan Area including Beyond Housing, KIPP St. Louis, Harris-Stowe State University, The International Institute of St. Louis, the St. Louis Housing Authority, and the St. Louis Black Fashion Collective.
